Complete confidence in the quality of service provided by teacher recruitment agencies is essential. All school managers – and their board of governors – must be certain that the highest standards are met in relation to;
- Teacher recruitment
- Criminal background clearance and reference checks
- Customer service and administrative support
- Teacher selection and matching
- Teacher support and professional development
London Preferred Supplier List
Teaching Personnel have been selected for inclusion on the Government for London Preferred Supplier List. The List has been set up, and will be managed by the Teacher Recruitment and Retention Unit of the Government Office for London (GOL), and the Association of London Government (ALG).
The Preferred Supplier List is designed to harness the capacity of supply agencies to provide an ever-improving quality service to schools, by establishing agreed communicative standards with schools, and to professionally develop the teachers they work with, in a way that is affordable.
Schools will be able to save time in selecting an agency, as they can contact one source, and feel assured that their chosen agency will provide a competent, well trained supply teacher.
Teaching Personnel have been working with the GOL, going through a rigorous vetting procedure, including scoring on the DfES Quality Mark, induction, continuing professional development, value for money and communication with schools, teachers and LEAs. The agency applications were scored and assessed by Headteachers and LEA representatives and will be monitored throughout their time on the List.
Stephen Twigg, Minister for London Schools said:
"This new initiative on supply agencies should make the market work more effectively to deliver the best quality supply teachers to London schools. The PSL will help schools to make more informed decisions on the agencies they use by providing clear information on services and costs"
The DCSF Quality Mark
Teaching Personnel has been awarded the DCSF Quality Mark and has used the application process to ensure that every aspect of its service exceeds regulatory requirements. Across critical areas like criminal background checks, booking confirmations, teacher support and professional development resources, our aim is to provide schools with guaranteed quality.
