In a long term position, you will work at one school for a long period of time and in some cases on a permanent contract. Long term positions are usually for a minimum of six weeks. You will teach your specialist subject area and become very involved in school life. You will be expected to attend parent evenings, participate in regular school duties and planning/assessing lessons for pupils is essential.
